HP has released their budget-friendly all-in-one inkjet series that is loaded with a lot of features and it is given the name Officejet printer. It is a perfect choice for home and business use. It is easy to setup and operate this printer.

Step 1:

• The first step after receiving your printer package is to unbox it. Slice the tape and open the package. Open up the small box inside and you will find the accessories for your printer. Take out the power cord and adapter and set them aside. Next, you will find the installation CD for Windows and Mac. The last items in this part of the box are the cartridges for your printer.

Step 2:

• The packaging may vary according to the region of purchase. Inside the main package, you will find the user guide and setup poster. Now, remove the printer from the box. The printer will be placed inside a plastic bag. Use the two handles of the bag to gently pull the printer out of the box. Remove the cardboard box and set it aside for recycling. Place the printer on a flat and stable surface.

Step 3:

• Now, remove the printer from the bag. Discard the tape and packaging material found outside and inside the printer. Remove the twist tie on the power cord and the adapter. Once it is removed, go ahead and plug the power cord directly into the Power Port of the printer. Connect the other end of the cable to a wall outlet. Locate the power button and press it to turn on your printer.

Step 4:

• Once the device is turned on, the printer lights will start blinking. The device will initialize and then you can tune your machine to select your preferred language, location, date and time. The printer will prompt you to install the cartridges. Locate the cartridges that came with the printer, open them up and install them. Open the cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to stop moving.

Step 5:

• Make sure you do not touch the print head and the flat white cable, doing so might damage your product. Do not open the cartridge packages until you are ready to install them. To maintain reliability the cartridges are vacuum packed. Remove the new cartridges from their packages. Use the pull tab to remove the plastic tape from the cartridges. Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles.

Step 6:

• Slowly insert the cartridges into the printer and install them into their correct slots. Tri-color on the left and black on the right. Close the cartridge access door and the printer will start charging the ink. An alignment page will be printed. Lift the scanner lid and load the alignment page. Close the lid and then press OK to complete the alignment. Your printer is now ready for regular use.

Step 7:

• Download the driver from our website or install the driver using the installation CD. Make sure that you configure the latest printer driver. Confirm that your computer is set to automatically download the driver from Windows Updates or Apple Software Updates. If your printer supports fax, then configure the fax settings on your printer's control panel.
